Foundation
Master your craft.
Technical knowledge, colour theory and hair chemistry create the foundation for everything else.
“You may not be able to pinpoint exactly what makes the hair exceptional. You just know that it is.”
Knowledge. Craftsmanship. Attention to detail.

Aveda Colour, Nordics
11+ years educating

Scandinavian design is defined by craftsmanship, functionality, restraint and attention to detail. Ida approaches hair colour in much the same way.
Every placement should have a purpose. Every formula should have a reason. Every detail should contribute to the final result.
The goal is hair that makes someone turn around in the street without being able to pinpoint exactly why. The technique disappears. What remains is balance, movement, tone, dimension and an effortless sense of luxury.
“You shouldn’t see the technique. You should see incredible hair.”
For more than 11 years, Ida Gunell has worked with Aveda Colour across Sweden, Norway and Denmark, helping build and develop the Nordic colour market while remaining an active salon colourist.
Her education begins where great colour begins: with a strong technical foundation. Colour theory, hair chemistry and an understanding of how different hair behaves create the confidence to solve problems — not simply repeat techniques.
Still working behind the chair, Ida teaches what is relevant in real salon life: when a design should take 30 minutes, when it deserves two hours, and how to make every decision count.

“I don’t want to teach you my technique. I want to teach you why it works — so one day you won’t need it.”
01
Master your craft.
Technical knowledge, colour theory and hair chemistry create the foundation for everything else.
02
Know the why.
Don’t simply learn what to do. Understand why it works — and when it doesn’t.
03
Details make the difference.
Precision, intention and attention to detail turn good colour into exceptional colour.
04
Create your own how.
When the foundation is strong enough, you stop depending on techniques and start designing your own solutions.
“Don’t collect techniques. Collect understanding.”

01
Maximum impact. Minimum application time.

02
The craftsmanship behind effortless colour.

03
Foundation. Correction. Colour design.
“The goal isn’t another technique. It’s becoming a stronger colourist.”
01 / Masterclass
Maximum impact. Minimum application time.
Beautiful blonde work does not always require endless foils or hours of application. Blonde in 30 is built around one principle: efficiency should come from knowledge — not shortcuts.
Learn how to analyse the guest, identify where colour creates the greatest visual impact and build a strategic blonde design that can be applied in approximately 30 minutes.
You’ll learn
“Do less — but make every foil count.”

03 / Advanced masterclass
Foundation. Correction. Colour design.
This is not a class about one look. It is about becoming the colourist who knows how to create any look.
Through deep technical foundations, colour analysis and 13 essential techniques and design tools, Ida teaches colourists to move beyond “Which technique should I use?” and towards “What does this hair need me to do?”
Colour correction sits at the heart of the class: read the hair, identify the problem, understand why it exists and build a logical route to the desired result.
You’ll learn
“The goal isn’t another technique. It’s becoming a stronger colourist.”

A full appointment book leaves little time to search through scattered tutorials, decode a technique or remember what worked months ago. Ida and Tommy created Blondr to connect professional learning with the client history colourists need every day.

Master the foundation. Understand the why. Create anything.
Ida Gunell is a colourist, hair colour educator and co-founder of Blondr. She has worked with Aveda Colour for more than eleven years across Sweden, Norway and Denmark, helping build and develop the Nordic colour market while remaining an active salon colourist.
Ida teaches three masterclasses: Blonde in 30 (strategic, time-efficient blonde design), The Scandinavian Colour Code (the craftsmanship behind soft, effortless colour) and Think Like a Colourist (technical foundation, colour correction and colour design).
No. Her Aveda background shapes her approach, but she teaches transferable colour theory, consultation and design principles that professionals can adapt to their own colour system.
Ida still works behind the chair, so she teaches what is relevant in real salon life: when a design should take 30 minutes, when it deserves two hours, and how to make every decision count. The aim is understanding rather than copied technique.
