Hair color correction · professional education

Hair color correction starts with a better diagnosis

When color goes wrong, it is tempting to start mixing immediately. Blondr teaches you to pause, map the problem and choose a sequence that respects the limits of the hair.

From knowledge to craft

You learn more when you know what to look for.

A calmer decision-making system for complex work: diagnose, test, plan, execute and evaluate.

1. Diagnose

Divide the hair into zones and assess artificial pigment, natural level, porosity and chemical history. One head may need several different solutions.

2. Test the plan

Use strand tests and realistic milestones before committing to the complete service. Evidence gives you better information than the desired outcome alone.

3. Correct in sequence

Address the most critical zones first, and distinguish between removing, filling, neutralizing and evening out pigment.

4. Evaluate and document

Save formulas, timing, observations and images. Good records make the next step safer, especially when the correction must happen over time.

Frequently asked questions

Professional answers, without the detour.

What is hair color correction?+

Hair color correction is a planned process for addressing unwanted tone, depth, banding, spotting or artificial pigment. It may require several techniques and sometimes more than one appointment.

How do I correct orange hair after lightening?+

First determine whether the hair is light enough for the target. Orange can be neutralized with a complementary tone, but toner cannot always compensate for a canvas that is still too dark.

How do I fix banding in hair color?+

Map the depth, tone and history of each band. Protect the lightest and most porous areas, and work only where correction is needed. Strand testing is especially important.

Can hair color correction be learned online?+

Video is well suited to showing analysis, sectioning and decisions on real models. Blondr is professional education, not a substitute for strand tests, manufacturer instructions or your own risk assessment.
